Warwick Castle

I am lucky enough to live in England, a country with a proud and very visible history. I am even more luck to live in the south of England which has castles, old villages and country pubs dotted all over the place.

I recently visited Warwick castle in the midlands on a family day out and I have to admit I was surprised by what I found. Castles to me should be as untouched and original as they can be, it’s a chance to step back in time and see what life was like back then.

The reason that Warwick castle surprised me was that it was run more as firstly a tourist attraction and secondly a castle which to me is the wrong way….we need to protect our history. That said I still had a very enjoyable day out but left feeling slightly confused by what I had visited.

In these pictures I have tried to capture the castle as a castle and not as a tourist attraction (apart from the last picture as the birds of prey were amazing).
